The Last of the Tags

>> Friday, April 11, 2008

I promise this to be the last tag for a long, long time. After this post, it is all going to be erudite, verbose, introspective writings on my views. But first, let us go on with the present. Macadamia the nut has tagged me and thus is born another post. Though this looks less of a tag and more like a guide for a prospective boyfriend.

1. LAST MOVIE YOU SAW IN A THEATER:

Taare Zameen Par.

I am more into pirated stuff and no good movies are out yet.

2. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING?

Gun seller by Hugh Laurie

3. FAVORITE BOARD GAME?

Monopoly.

Practically obsessed about it. I play it on my cellphone, bully my friends into playing it, throw monopoly parties and form monopoly study groups.

This has nothing to do with Economics.

4. FAVORITE MAGAZINE?

My mum made me try The Economist and Competition Success. Did not last a month. Reader's Digest comes close I guess.

5. FAVORITE SMELLS?

Rain drenched earth.
Cakes being baked.
The stuffy smell of my room when I return to it after a long, long time.

6. FAVORITE SOUNDS?

The sound of my ipod in my ears.
The sound of a car speeding by and I realize it just missed killing me.
The sound of my phone ringing and it turning out not be the Airtel customer care people.

7. WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD?

Waking up.
Realizing the argument just turned serious.
My HoD mentioning abysmal attendances and looking at me reproachfully.

8. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK OF WHEN YOU WAKE?

Another day. More aging. I am so not getting any younger.

9. FAVORITE FAST FOOD PLACE
?

The vada pao place at Exide. Also, for coffee, Caffeine.

10. FUTURE CHILD'S NAME?

Poltu and Potla.

(Dear future husband, if you are reading this, darling, we can have two more kids and you can name them according to your choice. Please do not take Poltu and Potla away from me).

11. FINISH THIS STATEMENT. "IF I HAD A LOT OF MONEY I'D...?

Spend it. Buy shoes.

12. DO YOU DRIVE FAST?

Do not drive at all. My drivers can drive fast however. Driving fast is wonderful.

13. DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL?

No. Books have taken over my bed and I usually end up sleeping on the floor. A stuffed animal would not last in such an atmosphere.

14. STORMS-COOL OR SCARY?

Lovely for walks. Rains, thunder, gales- oh cool it definitely is.

15. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?

Was more of a barbie person. Used to own 13 of them. Parents were more of the gender specific toy buyers. No cars thus.

16. FAVORITE DRINK?

Anything but apple juice.

17. FINISH THIS STATEMENT, "IF I HAD THE TIME I WOULD

know the question is talking about my current lifestyle.

18. DO YOU EAT THE STEMS ON BROCCOLI?

Broccolis look evil. Would not dare to.

19. IF YOU COULD DYE YOUR HAIR ANY COLOR, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR CHOICE?

I love my hair colour. It is what I would have wanted it to be if it had not been it. I would just dye it back to the original colour if it starts greying.

20. NAME ALL THE DIFFERENT CITIES/TOWNS YOU HAVE LIVED IN.

Bangalore, Gwalior, Bongaigaon, Kolkata.

Only the west remains to be conquered.

21. FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH?

Desperate housewives.

(What? You do not call what goes on there a sport?)

22. ONE NICE THING ABOUT THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU.

She handled this tag better than I did.

23. WHAT'S UNDER YOUR BED?

The boogey man.

24. WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE BORN AS YOURSELF AGAIN?

Sure. But with smaller feet please.

25. MORNING PERSON, OR NIGHT OWL?

Night owl. I am typing this at 3 30 in the morning.

26. OVER EASY, OR SUNNY SIDE UP?

Never talk to people if I can avoid it. So no idea.

27. FAVORITE PLACE
TO RELAX?

My bedroom floor.

28. FAVORITE PIE?

Lemon.

29. FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR?

Dark chocolate.

30. OF ALL THE PEOPLE YOU TAGGED THIS TO, WHO'S MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND FIRST?

No one. Everyone seems to be on a hibernation.

I tag everyone as usual. If you like this tag well enough, please take it up.

Favourite sport to watch...Desperate Housewives. Brilliant. I've laways known I would find someone else who would have the same thoughts as me about that.

dreamy 10:24 pm, April 13, 2008

"Was more of a barbie person. Parents were more of the gender specific toy buyers. No cars thus."...

applies for me too.

and btw I've also done the tag and have ranted a lot.

Please come read my blog and comment.

I am just a comments-crazy person.
The comments on my blog are lessening day by day and my nightmares are coming true ..people have started deleting me from their blog rolls.

some body help me please.

OK sorry for misusing your comments section...but I just can't get blatant advertisement out of my blood.

Poojo C. 10:52 pm, April 13, 2008

I'm curious to know who responded to the tag first, given that the entire blogeroo is in hibernation.

("I'm curious to know"... shit... no wonder my boss tells me I write too formally!!)

Poojo C. 9:56 pm, April 14, 2008

"The sound of my phone ringing and it turning out not be the Airtel customer care people."
-- I know, it's such joy when it's someone calling to actually talk to you rather than sell things like "hello tunes".

Macadamia The Nut 2:55 am, April 15, 2008

Lol! Ok, now you can go ahead and kill me. But please, don't use knives... I have this 'thing' for metal :|

anu 6:53 am, April 15, 2008

"Night owl. I am typing this at 3 30 in the morning."

Or BOTH ?!!? :P

The none 8:55 am, April 15, 2008

waking up is indeed the worst feeling of all. and broccolis even taste evil. :-(

inihos 5:39 pm, April 15, 2008

I never managed to learn to play monopoly...

~Moo-lah Buz!nezzz~ 5:10 pm, April 16, 2008

Why on earth do broccolli's look evil???!!

ad libber 3:52 am, April 17, 2008

@moo-lah
It all goes back to the time when I was 9 or 10 and was watching a powerpuff girls show where the broccolis turn into mutant monsters.

@inihos
if we ever have a blogmeet, we are all playing monopoly and doing evil laughs.

@the none
I knew it. There you go moo-lah

@anu
you know, thats exactly what I was thinking while typing it. I decided I am both. I see both the sunrise and the sunset. I ts good being me :P
Afternoons suck.

@mac
I enjoyed the tag, so no offing with your head.

@poojo
there are points I actually cry in the sheer happiness of it all to know I am not as very unpopular as that.

@TGWAZN
You would prolly have been named Kaju Barfi. Be thankful for the small mercies.

@abhishek
bless me, I am definite my future husband is already thinking of disowning me if he has read the tag.

@poojo
no one yet :(

@dreamy
I know. Where is everyone?

@speedpost
I am still looking for a word with which to describe that fashion house thingy which comes up int he afternoons.

@onnesha
that tag comes when i need a filler again. Too many tags bunched up together.

@sam
high five :P

@bubbles
the advantage of having a sibling :P both of us needed a different barbie, it added up to an odd number coz we also had a ken.

@Wian
why?
Oh, I do not like pineapple juice either. i forgot to add that.

Sphinx 2:09 pm, April 17, 2008

hey this is damn funny... poltu and potla had me in splits.. any particular reason for these rather absurd names? :P

Poojo C. 10:31 pm, April 17, 2008

If it makes you feel any better, I did the tag, and considered you the tagger.

And hey, 18 comments. You ain't half as unpopular as you think you are!

Amazing Greys 9:53 am, April 18, 2008

mmmmm, your favourite smells are so mine too... made me wanna go back to bed & eat cake. sadly it wont rain, i dont think so. :(
I know people who are called Poltu & Potla & they turned out good, no reason why u can't name ur kids after them. :P
but what if its girls? a girl called Poltu!!!! that would be a tragedy dontuthink? :D

Abhishek... inside out 1:18 am, April 20, 2008

if he has read this, he doesn't deserve to be your husband. you see, husbands need to have this one trait of ignoring their wives.. that's the traditional way!

ad libber 4:37 pm, May 21, 2008

@sphinx
heredity, apparently my dad used to call me Potla. (and I swear I had no idea of it till two weeks back).

@poojo
its back to 8 :(

@amazing greys
ektuo na, my college nickname is Poltu

@abhishek
when I do name the kids, he is going to get one hell of a surprise.

Anonymous 1:01 am, September 16, 2008

Just couldn't help noticing. It is it's not its. You've read 'Eats, Shoots and Leaves', you should know.

ad libber 10:52 pm, September 16, 2008

@anonymous
Granted. And changed. Reminds me to proof read the stuff sometimes.
